ApexRMS was recently invited to participate in the virtual symposium “Developing a dynamic ecosystem assessment system for Australia”, February 1-5, 2021. Hosted by CSIRO, Australia’s national science research agency, the symposium brought together local and international researchers, along with land managers, to develop a roadmap for near real-time detection and change forecasting of ecosystem condition and service provision across Australia. 

As part of this 5-day interactive symposium, Colin Daniel provided a case-study demonstration of how the ST-Sim package for SyncroSim could be used to convert a series of conceptual state-and-transition models into a corresponding quantitative forecasting model for a watershed in Australia’s Murray-Darling Basin (video recording available on YouTube).
