LANDFIRE created reference condition models for every mid-scale vegetation type it mapped resulting in a comprehensive suite of more than 1,200 models for U.S. ecosystems. The LANDFIRE models are freely available online and now there are support materials to help end users apply them to real world land management and conservation problems. The guidance provided in these documents, while aimed at LANDFIRE model users, could be transferred easily to the use of other models in Path/VDDT.
